I fell into this business via a casual acquaintance. Actually it was a long distance landlord and we were the tenants. A husband and wife that began their business in a similar fashion - self taught. Fortunately, the young woman had tons of patience and mentored me via emails and answered my questions while I read every book I could find on the subject of SEO. I soon found that building web sites and search engine optimization were two activities I enjoyed and found very rewarding.
I started with building and optimizing my own sites. Soon I found a market for doing similar work for others and so here we are. In the past few years I've been fortunate to share ideas with other talented SEO afficienados and the knowledge and experience has snowballed since.
